The masters on manifestation
What each master teaches about creating your reality
Long before the Law of Attraction had a name, the masters taught it. Here is what each one says about turning a wish into reality.
Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba
As you feel, so you become
"Yad bhavam tad bhavati"
Swami often repeated this ancient line: your inner feeling decides your outer result. He also told devotees, "Why fear when I am here?" Faith removes fear, and a mind free of fear receives grace.
Manifestation key: Hold the feeling of your wish as already fulfilled, and drop all fear.
Sri Krishna · Bhagavad Gita 9.22
I carry what you lack
"Ananyash chintayanto mam ye janah paryupasate, tesham nityabhiyuktanam yoga-kshemam vahamy aham"
To those who think of Me alone with full devotion, I bring what they do not have and protect what they already have.
Manifestation key: Total devotion makes the Divine personally responsible for your gains. In Gita 4.11 He adds: as people approach Me, so I respond to them.
Sri Krishna · Bhagavad Gita 18.78
Where God is, wealth and victory follow
"Yatra yogeshvarah krishno yatra partho dhanur-dharah, tatra shrir vijayo bhutir dhruva nitir matir mama"
Wherever there is Krishna, the lord of yoga, and Arjuna, the man of action, there will surely be prosperity, victory, power and righteousness.
Manifestation key: Divine grace plus your own action equals certain wealth and success.
Sri Rama · Ramayana
A firm word and the power of the Name
"Ramo dvir nabhibhashate"
Rama never speaks twice. His word, once given, always comes true. And stones written with His name floated on the ocean to build the bridge to Lanka.
Manifestation key: Make one firm sankalpa (resolve) and never doubt it. Faith in the Name makes the impossible float.
Jesus · Mark 11:24 (KJV)
Believe that you have received
"What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them."
Manifestation key: Pray, then believe it is already yours. In Matthew 17:20 He says faith as small as a mustard seed can move mountains.
Gautama Buddha · Dhammapada 1–2
Mind goes before everything
"Manopubbangama dhamma"
All things are led by the mind and made by the mind. Speak or act with a pure mind, and happiness follows you like a shadow that never leaves.
Manifestation key: Purify and direct your thoughts. Your world follows your mind.
Lord Shiva · Shiva Sankalpa Suktam (Yajur Veda)
May my mind hold only auspicious resolves
"Tan me manah shiva-sankalpam astu"
This prayer asks again and again that the mind, the most powerful force in us, be filled with shiva sankalpa: good, blessed and pure intentions.
Manifestation key: Guard every thought. Only blessed intentions should enter your mind.
The Rishis · Brihadaranyaka Upanishad 4.4.5
Desire becomes destiny
"Yatha kratur bhavati tat karma kurute, yat karma kurute tad abhisampadyate"
As your desire is, so is your will. As your will is, so is your action. And whatever action you do, that you become.
Manifestation key: A deep desire, held with will and turned into action, becomes your destiny.
The Sages & Siddhas · Patanjali Yoga Sutra 2.36
The words of the truthful come true
"Satya pratishthayam kriya phalashrayatvam"
When a person is fully established in truth, their actions and words bear fruit. What they say begins to happen.
Manifestation key: Live in complete truth, and your spoken word gains the power of a siddha.
